Thor Soelyst Farup is a multidisciplinary artist and creative technologist exploring the intersection of digital media, interactive design, and contemporary art practices. Through a diverse body of work spanning video art, sculpture, graphic design, and sound installations, Thor investigates themes of perception, space, and human-technology relationships.

With a background in both fine arts and interactive coding, Thor creates immersive experiences that challenge conventional boundaries between viewer and artwork. Their practice is rooted in experimental approaches that blur the lines between digital and physical realms, often incorporating generative systems, real-time interaction, and unconventional media to create thought-provoking installations and performances.

Thor's work has been exhibited in various galleries and cultural spaces, where audiences are invited to engage with pieces that question the nature of perception, authorship, and the evolving relationship between humans and machines. Drawing inspiration from glitch aesthetics, computational art, and avant-garde cinema, their projects often explore the poetic potential of technological failure and the unexpected beauty found in system breakdowns.

Currently based in Amsterdam and studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Thor continues to develop a practice that embraces interdisciplinary collaboration and technical experimentation. Their recent work investigates themes of digital materiality, algorithmic composition, and the ways in which technology mediates our experience of reality. Through video, sound, code, and sculpture, Thor seeks to create moments of wonder, disruption, and reflection.

Beyond individual practice, Thor is actively engaged in the broader creative technology community, participating in workshops, talks, and collaborative projects that explore the future of art and technology. With each new project, Thor pushes the boundaries of what's possible when artistic vision meets technical innovation, creating work that is both conceptually rigorous and emotionally resonant.
